The R2 Standard focuses on promoting responsible recycling practices within e-waste organizations. Acquiring R2 certification enables an organization to demonstrate its commitment to environmental and ethical responsibility across the entire lifecycle of electronic goods, spanning from receipt to their ultimate destination or reuse. To achieve certification, organizations must also adhere to the standards of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management. While mandatory, certification in these two standards often aligns with a substantial portion of the remaining criteria outlined in the R2 standard.
