Building Design and Construction

  • Ensuring building construction is in compliance with Joint Commission standards and CMS Conditions of Participation.

  • Verifying compliance with NFPA 101-2012 after occupancy is granted.

  • Pre-planning for new building design and construction to achieve compliance with the life safety code, interim life safety measurement and infection prevention.

Environmental Compliance Sustainability

  • Keep your organization ready at all times for any surprise surveys or audits as per the Joint Commission guidelines. 

  • Conduct building tours based on The Joint Commission regulations for Environment of Care, Emergency Management, and Life Safety chapters.

  • Assist you with appeals, plan of action, and follow-up surveys after the Joint Commission Survey. 

Regulatory Compliance

  • Conduct life safety assessment to identify gap analysis and perform risk assessment

  • Collaborate with your facilities team to develop the regulatory compliance and Environment of Care program so they can take ownership and accountability.

  • Ensure compliance in case of occupancy changes and repurposing of spaces.

Emergency Management

  • Collaborate with you to develop a program for documenting and monitoring changes in standard operating procedures or building codes made during the activation of your EOP.

  • Collaborate with you to develop your emergency response to an event or exercise, analyze real time response and provide documented recommendations. 

Training and Education

  • Educate your staff to understand the Environment of Care, Life Safety, and Emergency Management standards manual chapters.

  • Provide periodic training to employees encouraging them to maintain compliance and safety. 

  • Collaborate with your team to develop an Emergency Operations Plan. 

Environmental Compliance Sustainability

  • Continuous efforts to develop programs for sustainable compliance and make regular visits to identity issues and address them as they arise.

  • Be available for any questions from the staff and management. 

  • Provide feedback on policies, forms, and tools.
